The Golder Gate Bridge

Biography

I was born in 1949 and grew up in Tripoli, Lebanon. I was educated at a local Grammar School followed by ENSAD, Ecole Nationale Superieure Des Arts Decoratifs in Paris. I am a realist painter who enjoys the challenge of painting the traditional style such as portraiture, still life, nudes, and landscapes. Past masters, such as Rembrandt, and an array of contemporary artists have especially influenced me, where they carried oil painting to its highest pinnacle of technical perfection.

I carry my artistic career in portrait painting following a trip to new York in 2009, where I trained under the master Daniel Greene. I am always on the outlook for artists whose work inspires me. My paintings grow out of my fascination for the way light affects everyday objects and reveals their beauty, special characteristics and personality. I have experimented with most media but I most enjoy using oils for portrait and still life paintings. I work out of my studio in Beirut and accept commissions from clients, both corporate and private, from around the world. My paintings are held in private collections throughout Lebanon and the USA.
